Three legendary rock bands are teaming up for what is sure to be the tour of the summer. Journey, Heart and Cheap Trick are heading out on the concert trail starting July 9 in Denver, CO. The trek will reach The Southland with a July 16th date at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 19th at 10 AM.
Journey, featuring Neal Schon (guitar), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Ross Valory (bass), Deen Castronovo (drums) and new lead singer Arnel Pineda, is hitting the road to promote Revelation, the group’s highly-anticipated three-disc CD/DVD package set for release June 3rd (exclusively at Wal-Mart stores in North America).
With over 30 million albums sold and hit singles like, “Crazy on You,” Heart is one of the most successful groups in rock history. Led by Ann and Nancy Wilson, the band will soon begin recording a new album of original material, their first since 2004. Last week, Ann and Nancy performed “Barracuda” on the “American Idol” “Idol Gives Back” gala charity fund raising special.
For three decades, Cheap Trick has blended pop, punk and modern rock into a lean and irresistibly infectious mix. With timeless classics such as, “I Want You to Want Me,” and “Surrender,” they are a rock institution. The group has sold over 20 million records and collected 40 platinum and gold plaques.
