This is a nice close up of one of Ann's marvelous Rock outfits. She really switched things up on this last tour with some amazing clothes. Ann has commented before that she makes her own stage clothes. She could easily get a second job as a designer, as long as she doesn't give up her first job, which is Rocking!

Heart star Ann Wilson is leading a U.S. poll to find the best female rock singer of all time. Parade.com has been inundated with voting fans since the poll went live last week - and more than half the 13,500 visitors who have participated picked the "Barracuda" singer ahead of stars like Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks.
Wilson, who has received 55 per cent of the vote, tells the website she owes her singing success to pre-show preparation: "I warm up before each show by singing along with a Lucinda Williams or Emmylou Harris CD. It helps to open my throat and my soul."

Updates

The Heart Monger Blog is finally back from a small break. Here is the latest news!

A new journal entry from Nancy Wilson has been posted in the Journal section on Heart-Music.com. Nancy said "We are busy writing for the new studio Heart album and start recording in about 5 weeks." The Q & A with Heart keyboardist Debbie Shair was also posted in the journal section. Here is part of what Debbie had to say.

My other band, Marizane, is in the stages of mastering our latest release which Is called "The Cosmosis." It's a very whimsical, eclectic, a little eccentric modern retro rock album. I know that sounds pretentious but honestly it's the only way I know how to describe it. The CD features guest performances and a wide range of guest performers including Nancy Wilson and Craig Bartock. The CD is expected to be released on iTunes probably in late September or early October and our Myspace page will be updated soon (www.myspace.com/marizanemusic).

" Heart is also gearing up to mark the 30th anniversary of their classic double-platinum album Dog & Butterfly in 2009 with special events and celebrations.

Great news! It looks like Heart is going to be busy in 2009. A new album, new tour dates, and some "special events" for the Dog and Butterfly 30th year anniversary. Heart Mongers have a lot to look forward to!
