Ann also spoke with EW's the Hollywood Insider about performing on Dancing With the Stars.
“When would a rock band play for a ballroom dance?” Ann Wilson asked reporters afterwards. “When people used to dance to us years ago, it was in a tavern or at a high school dance. At first, we looked at each other and went, `Is this rock?’ And then we went, ‘Yeah, it is.’ It doesn’t matter.”
Ann also said she wished Sarah Palin would have been at the taping, that way she could have dedicated Barracuda to her. hehe.

Nancy Wilson of Heart talks to Troy on 106.9 The Fox morning radio show about their new CD "Red Velvet Car", life on the road and divorce. We also talk about what the Nancy Wilson of today would say to the Nancy Wilson of the mid-70's.
I recently emailed Jodi Sandler, the creator of the Red Velvet Car video. I asked if she could share a little insight into the making of the video/animation and here is what she had to say.
"When I was approached by Heart's manager, I was so excited to work for one of my all time favorite bands. Red Velvet Car is an incredible song and for an animator, it's a thrill to have a good song to work to."
"I knew from the get-go that I wanted to animate Ann and Nancy throughout their career, and it was a lot of fun going through thousands of pictures of reference! Some of the elements of the video were obvious in the original concept (like the car, and Ann and Nancy), and others I worked in as the story stage progressed (like the car bursting into hearts). Those last-minute add-ins were really fun to explore and I appreciate the band for pushing those ideas. I still get excited when I hear the song, and after listening to it countless times I'm still not sick of it. The whole album is amazing and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity. "
Thank you Jodi for sharing your creative process! See more of Jodi's wonderful art at www.jodisandler.com
